Dr. Osagie Threatens Legal Action Against Air Peace Over Undignifying Treatment and Non-Delivery of Luggage

Dr. Samson Osagie, former Attorney General of Edo State, has threatened legal action against Airpeace airlin over undignified treatment and non delivery of luggage .

In a letter written on his behalf by his Solicitors, C. O Agbe & Co, Dr Osagie is demanding compensation from Air Peace to the tune of a ₦100 million in damages for the iil treatment, undignified treatment, inconvenience and financial losses which he suffered as a result of the action of the airline between 19th and 20th october when he traveled to Accra Ghana for the African Bar Association Annual General Conference.

He noted that the airline’s failure to deliver his luggage on flight P4775 from Lagos to Accra on October 19, 2025 and the attendant consequences of such failure on his mission in Accra Ghana caused him huge inconveniences and losses

In said letter to Air Peace, dated October 29th, Dr. Osagie’s lawyers, C. O Agbe & Co, expressed disappointment with the airline’s handling of the situation, stating that their actions were undignified and caused significant financial Loss and inconvinience to their client.

The letter references the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulation and Section 55(1) and (2) of the Civil Aviation Act 2022, which entitle passengers to compensation for discomfort or injury.

Air Peace has been given 7 days to respond to meet with the demand for compensation or face legal action.

The complaints has sparked concerns about airline accountability and passenger rights in Nigeria, highlighting the need for airlines to prioritise passenger welfare and adhere to regulations.
