The Edo Peoples Movement, has congratulated President Mohammadu Buhari and National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Adams Oshiomhole on the party’s victory at the Presidential Elections Petition Tribunal
The movement in a statement jointly signed by its coveners Hon Samson Osagie and Hon Henry Idahagbon, the group noted that the victory reinforces the general acceptability of the President and the APC as exemplified in the mandate given by Nigerians during the last Presidential Elections.
According to the statement ” The Edo Peoples Movement is elated at the unanimous judgement affirming the election of President Buhari and the APC. By this judgement all doubting Thomases will have to wait till 2023 for another contest, as the judgement is a sustainable one even on appeal.
The group appeal to President Buhari to decisively deal with the security challenges facing the nation and improve on the implementation of the economic reforms Agenda of the administration to make life more meaningful for Nigerians.
The statement further commend the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress for his leadership role which has endeared Nigerians to the party and urge him to continue to pilot the affairs of the party to engender national unity and development.
The group further urged all its members across Edo State to be patient with the All Progressive Congress in the State as better days awaits them when they will be more appreciated and respected.
