- On the 9th of May, 2017, Chief Blessing Agbomere was attacked at the Airport by thugs with severe injuries left in his body and he authoritatively said the deputy Governor was responsible for the attack.
- On the 26th of July, 2018, Senator Mathew Urhoghide was attacked at the airport by thugs mobilised by Edo State Government and the Senator authoritatively accused the Governor of being responsible.
- On the 18th of June, 2019 distinguished members elect were attacked at the Golden Pullen Hotel in Benin by thugs loyal to the Governor.
- On the 12th of October, 2019, thugs also attacked the resident of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, and according to Albert Obazee they are ‘Generals’ loyal to the Governor.
- Just last week here, thugs loyal to the Governor also attacked EPM members in Owan and left them with serious injuries.
- Same last week, members of Edo State Civil society organisation were attacked by thugs loyal to the Governor for exercising their rights to protest.
- The most recent one is the thugs mobilised to iyamho by the deputy Governor to humiliate Comrade Adams Oshiomhole in a convocation ceremony that ought to be a solemn academic ceremony.
These are the few of the thuggerish attack under the watch and support of Edo State Government.
From the attacks, you will realize it has no respect for political party or individual.
If all of us don’t stand up to fight this oppressive and offensive thuggery in Edo Edo State that has become a threat to our lives, properties, peace, dignity and stability, Edo State may gravitate to the Hobbes’s State of nature that is nasty, brutish and short. In fact, we may move into a totalitarian regime where every of our activities will be watched by the Government hired thugs and those who oppose the Government or do anything against them are being watched and sanction, just like the what of the Big brother in George Orwell’s Novel titled, Ninety Eight-Four(1984) were doing.
